Hello Rona,
The Coalition of Celebrant Associations (CoCA) Inc., the peak body for celebrants, is the only Australian association of celebrant associations.
Annual Fee Payments
The AG’s Department issued the invoices in mid-July. You can access yours on the Marriage Celebrants Self Service Portal. The invoice states that the account should be paid by 16th August 2017.
The Department will follow up accounts that are not paid by the Due Date but CoCA encourages you to pay as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary reminders.
Failure to pay by the Charge Date (sixty days from the date on your invoice) results in automatic de-registration.
OPD Requirements
The AG’s Department advised previously that they still have to update information on OPD within the Portal, so do not be concerned if the OPD information for 2016 and 2017 appears incorrect.
If you have not yet completed your OPD for 2017, you should check the websites of the four providers to book a suitable course.
Update Your Information
Celebrants are responsible for informing the AG’s Department of any changes to their contact details or personal circumstances.
You can make changes to contact details within the Portal or you can complete and email a Notification Form – available from the AG’s website.
You must also advise your BDM.
