There are risks associated with celebrancy.

• Not all celebrant insurance cover is the same.
  
  
• Individual cover is safer than Group cover as the full amount is for you only.
  
  
  • In Group cover, the amount insured is shared by all those on the same policy.
    
    
  • However, Group cover is still a preferred cover for most celebrants
    
    
• If you are happy to take Group Celebrant PI & PL Cover, then a number of CoCA associations do offer Group cover under the CoCA Group PI and PL Insurance.
  
  
• CoCA associations that include group cover in their membership or associated with their membership, have assessed this level of cover as suitable for most of their members.
  
  Like any other insurance (car, home etc) you need to assess what level of cover is best for you.

• If you do a lot of ceremonies and would prefer INDIVIDUAL Celebrant Insurance, you can organise this directly with Arthur J Gallagher.
