Hello Rona,
The Coalition of Celebrant Associations (CoCA) Inc., the peak body for celebrants, is the only Australian association of celebrant associations.
Annual Fee Payments
By now, all celebrants wishing to remain registered should have paid their annual fee of $240 to the Attorney General's Department. If not, you should have received several reminders of your fees now being due. If you ignored these reminders, then you will be de-registered and removed from the Authorised Celebrant List.
CoCA associations meeting with the AG Department
The next CoCA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 10 October 2017, and on Wednesday 11 October, CoCA meets with the Attorney-General's Department in Canberra.
Please ask within your associations if there are any matters they would like to have raised at these meetings.
The time is short for the responses for the AG Department meeting, however, a delegate may be able to raise your issue as Other Business.
New Marriage forms and OPD arrangements, Same Sex Marriage, COI/ B2B feedback are some of the items on the Agenda, and you may seek feedback from your delegate as to the progress of any of these items.
Have your say?
All celebrants are invited to make comments and raise issues with CoCA whether you belong to an association or not. Use our What's on your mind? to give your feedback Click on this link
Considering joining a celebrant group?
CoCA associations have a lot to offer, especially with their membership, insurance and copyright packages.
Check out CoCA associations now. Kind regards
