Hello Visitor,
Recently you would have received a consultation paper and survey from the Attorney-General's Department wanting your views on:
Conflict of Interest and Benefit to Business Will relaxing the COI provisions bring celebrants more work or far more competition? CoCA has published some background papers explaining the rationale behind these requirements of the Marriage Act for Commonwealth Marriage Celebrants and in fact, all other marriage celebrants.
CoCA invites you to read these prior to responding to the AG’s survey so that you may make an informed decision.
Ongoing Professional Development
CoCA surveyed your views earlier this year on OPD and has published this background paper
What are your comments?
The Coalition of Celebrant Associations is an “association of associations”. CoCA listens to all Commonwealth marriage celebrants and independent civil celebrants. Independent celebrants are invited to offer their views in the CoCA Feedback section on:
CoCA encourages ALL celebrants to also respond directly to the Attorney General’s Department's survey.
Are you keeping up with all the changes to the Marriage Celebrant Program?
It is more important than ever to belong to a professional celebrant association such as those who belong to CoCA, so your views can be heard in Canberra.
For a full list of CoCA associations click here.
CoCA associations have a lot to offer, especially with their membership, insurance and copyright packages.
All 10 of our CoCA Associations wish you the very best for the coming holiday season for a peaceful and relaxed time with loved ones, famly and friends!
Kind regards
