On behalf of the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC), I would like to congratulate you on your successful nomination for membership of the Client Services Industry Reference Committee (IRC).
The AISC endorsed the structure and membership of the Client Services IRC on 19 October 2017. The approved structure and membership is available on the AISC website
For your information, I have attached the IRC Operating Framework which outlines the roles, responsibilities and operational processes of IRCs and Skills Service Organisations (SSOs). In particular, Section 5 – IRC Governance Arrangements – provides details regarding the number of meetings held per year, costs associated with attending meetings and declaring all actual or perceived conflicts of interest. Your appointment is for an initial term of three years but you may be re-appointed for an additional year.
All IRC members are provided with indemnity and insurance cover under an arrangement between the Department of Education and Training and Comcover. Members are covered under Section 6 (General Liability and Professional Indemnity), Section 13 (Personal Accident) and Section 17 (Personal Effects and Travel Inside Country) of the Comcover Statement of Cover 2017-18, which is attached.
Once your acceptance of the position is received your email address will be provided to SkillsIQ the Skills Service Organisation providing secretariat and other support to the Client Services IRC. SkillsIQ will then contact you directly to arrange the first meeting of the new IRC.
This first meeting will focus on a number of key matters including:
- induction of all members
- electing the Chair and Deputy Chair
- reviewing the IRC Skills Forecast and Proposed Schedule of Work and training package development work.
I look forward to working with you in the future.
