There is the potential for ANZSCO Occupation Codes to be reviewed alongside the 2021 Census. Commonwealth authorised (Subdivision C) marriage celebrants are effectively only authorised for the current financial year, with ongoing authorisation dependent on the payment of an annual fee. Marriage celebrants of Recognised Religions (Subdivision A) and marriage officers of Registries of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Subdivision B) are not required to pay an annual fee, nor complete any specified numbers of professional development hours, nor abide by the Code of Practice.
